Mr Jogia is a Specialist in Podiatric Sports Medicine. Podiatric Sports Medicine is a specialism in the management of sporting and musculoskeletal injuries.
He completed his Bachelor of Science honours degree in Podiatric Medicine in London and has since held NHS posts. He secured a junior role at Guys and Thomas’s Trust in London where he was quick to be recognised for his skills of managing patients well and given the opportunity to assist in the surgical team. He progressed and continued to work within the NHS and evolved within a multidisciplinary team as podiatrist specialising in Podiatric Sports Medicine / MSK.
He completed his post-graduate qualification from the William Harvey Research Institute (Queen Mary University, London) in Podiatric Sports Medicine. He has taught undergraduate and postgraduate students throughout the years.
Dhruv Jogia was awarded Fellowship of Royal College of Physicians & Surgeons (Glasgow) in 2024.
He is passionate about education and bringing a national change with a global impact. He is an executive board member of Podiatric Sports Medicine SAG (Royal College of Podiatry) and has been appointed as Education Officer. In 2023 he curated and continues to run a monthly educational series of online lectures bringing world class speakers together to speak on topics involving Podiatric Sports Medicine. He also recently went on UK tour teaching undergraduate students about podiatric sports medicine specialism at top podiatry universities in UK. Lectured at QMUL 2022 on podiatric sports medicine MSc course delivering foot and ankle lecture. He has been a Chair at Annual Podiatric Sports Medicine Conference in London 2023. As part of his NHS role he is a team lead is part of the national clinical education faculty. He teaches on the graduate development programs nationally. He teaches as part of in-service training for his department and facilitates placements and professional shadowing.
He has represented Podiatry in Parliament many times. He was appointed as Podiatry representative for ‘All Parliamentary Group for Diabetes’ and was invited to House of Commons to meet ex Mr. Speaker John Bercow and Celebrity Chef Ainsely Harriet discussed about podiatry, growing MSK conditions, diabetes and diet. He was a Podiatric Sports Medicine/ MSK representative at MSK Reform UK Parliament October 2019.
He partnered with and supported Leicester CCG with Silver Star Diabetes Charity in a “one-stop-shop for diabetic needs” pilot project in 2019-2021 and was mentioned in Medscape Journal News. He has been interviewed by National Newspaper Asian Voice Christmas Edition 2018 by MP Keith Vaz and represented Podiatry on Radio and TV. He has delivered live and online lectures for the local community promoting good foot health, diabetes and MSK conditions
